Formal, Semi-Formal and Informal Weddings

7:15 AM   Wedding Theme
Formal weddings
Usually, formal weddings are more elaborated and solemn weddings, in which there is a religious ceremony, including a formal reception, where guests sit at the table to taste several types of dishes, accompanied by the sound of a nice orchestra. The bride and groom’s clothes must follow the most rigorous rules.

Semi-formal weddings

This wedding can be celebrated on the open air, at a special place for the bride and groom or even at home, where the dressing code is no longer that rigorous. It is followed by a light meal, like a buffet or a cocktail, perhaps with a small musical group performing.

Informal weddings

These weddings, very similar to the semi-formal, are usually weddings that stand out by being different and casual. After the ceremony, there can simply be a small reception where some Hors d’Oeuvres with cake and champagne are served, or even just cake and champagne.

Rose Wedding Theme Inspiration

8:38 AM   Wedding Theme
If you’re thinking of having a rose wedding theme, congratulations! This is probably the flower that is most associated with love, romance and weddings. And thanks to its popularity, there are lots of accessories that you can use to give your wedding a rose theme.
In addition to your bridal and venue flowers, here are some ideas to complete your theme.

1. Rose Wedding Favors
There are plenty of rose theme wedding favors to choose from. I particularly like favors that are practical in nature, so I was drawn to these elegant cookies, candies or even candles You could also choose the ever-popular tin of mints, which are the ideal way to say ‘thank you’, and are easy for guests to carry. (BridalCookie’s Wedding favors can help you find out the best cookie gift match with your wedding theme).

2. Rose Flower Petals
One of the most popular ways to decorate a reception room is to use rose petals. We do it frequently! I personally prefer to use fresh petals and you can now order them over the Internet, freshly picked. You could also choose to have fresh petals that have been freeze dried. These have the advantage of being easy to store and transport. Or for ultimate convenience you could choose silk petals.
You can use rose petals to can decorate the reception tables, be used as confetti, or sprinkled on the ice bucket holding champagne.
Petals are also popular for use by flower girls. The basket below would make an ideal container for rose petals and a useful gift that could be used after the event. Why not complete the look with this porcelain rose gift set. It includes a satin mini-purse that can be personalized with your flower girl’s name. I know a couple of little one’s that would love that!

3. Rose Wedding Invitations
There are a number of different invitations that feature roses. You can choose from a traditional or more contemporary style of invitation. Many of the online retailers now offer an amazing range that can be customized with whatever wording you want.

4. Other Wedding Rose Accessories
You can complete your rose wedding theme by providing your guests with disposable cameras that have this design. These are great for capturing natural moments throughout the reception.
And if you’ve just got engaged, why not send out some of these rose themed ‘save the date‘ magnets. You don’t want your bridesmaids booking their holidays on your wedding date!

Planning A Wedding In Four Seasons (Winter Weddings, Spring Weddings, Summer Weddings, Autumn Weddings)

12:29 PM   Winter Weddings
Make life easy and take advantage of what each season has to offer when planning the wedding. Not only will it be easier to find flowers and foods that are in season, the celebration will be organic and natural.

Winter Weddings
The décor may reflect the holidays, or simply embrace the season. Decorate the church with seasonal flowers or stay with all white and silver for a snowy effect. Colors for the bridesmaids may be red and green to celebrate the holidays, or the bride may choose to go with the richness plum and gold or silver metallic.

Crystal snowflakes suspended from the ceiling at the reception sparkle and twirl, creating a winter wonderland. Holly and mistletoe above each doorway add even more romance to the event. Floral arrangements reflecting those from the wedding will maintain the desired mood of the season. Serve hearty food with hot cider. Send guests home with commemorative ornaments.

Spring Weddings
Flowers, flowers and more flowers. Spring is the best season to go crazy with a variety of flowers—from daisies to roses. This is also the ideal season for bridesmaids to be in a variety of colors, creating a rainbow wedding party. Or have them wear any combination of yellow and green.

Stay with the floral theme for the reception, from the entrance to the cake. Fresh, early-season, fresh-from-the-garden fruit and vegetables with yogurt dip add to the freshness of the seasonal theme. A cake with wispy flowers and elusive butterflies will delight the guests. Pretty bud vases are the perfect wedding favor for guests.

Summer Weddings
Summertime is the ideal season to have a beach or beach-themed wedding. Decorate the church in pastels, from the flowers to tulle draped over the pews. Glue or wire clusters of shells to continue with the theme. Bridesmaids will appreciate wearing the universally flattering color of turquoise. Add small shells to their summer flower bouquets.
Whether the reception is on the beach or indoors, decorates with starfish, fishnets and more seashells. Tiki torches are ideal for a real beach wedding. Or use paper lanterns indoors. Stark white linens with flower petals scattered about will add to the casual elegance of the beach wedding. Guests will appreciate small beach pails filled with tropical treats, disposable cameras and beach necessities such as sunscreen and sunglasses.

Autumn Weddings
Embrace the crisp, clean season filled with colors of fallen leaves. Rusts, golds and deep reds will pull guests into the ambiance of the celebration. Decorate the church with chrysanthemums and other flowers in autumn colors. Warm up the bridesmaids in fall colors on rich satin fabric. Continue with the deep, warm colors at the reception. Scatter fabric leaves on the tables and place tiny tea lights at each one. Serve a variety of cheeses and crackers before the meal. Guests will love small brocade jewelry boxes and valets to take home.

Embrace the Season
Once the season for the event has been established, build a wedding website  and let everyone know about it. Keep it updated so people will check the website often.

Natural Wedding Idea : How to have an Eco-Friendly Wedding Day

11:53 AM   Wedding Tips
Do you love the environment, camping in the great outdoors, and protecting the earth’s resources? Have a wedding day that celebrates your love for nature.

1. ATTIRE: Comfortable, loose natural clothing. There’s no need for attendants to match – just ask them to wear casual clothing they’re comfortable in. You’ll probably want to focus on natural fabrics like cotton and linen. Polyester is very hard on the earth’s resources, and other fabrics aren’t particularly animal friendly.

2. FLOWERS: Wildflowers or daisies, tied in a loose bunch. The look is that you picked them yourself just before the wedding. You‘ll want to make sure that your flowers are pesticide-free by ordering them from a local supplier or from organicbouquet.com

3. SETTING: In the woods or other beautiful natural setting. Consider parks, nature preserves, or botanical gardens near you. If you two have a favorite spot, its often possible to get a permit from the Parks Department- just be mindful that they may have rules about fires, trash, or amount of people.

4. FAVORS: Give each guest a beautiful flower, the seeds so that they can plant it at home, or make a donation in their name to charity.

5. MENU: Serve organic food and wine, and perhaps a vegetarian or vegetable centered menu. Think lighter fare that will mesh with the beauty of your surroundings. If you’re planning a vegetarian or vegan menu, check out this article on vegetarian and vegan weddings.

6. REGISTRY: Register for camping and other outdoors equipment, or register to make a donation to a charity.

7. INVITATIONS: Make sure your invitations are recyclable and printed on recycled paper.

8. SPECIAL TOUCH: Consider planting a tree at the end of your ceremony. You can also make a promise that you will return to plant additional trees at anniversaries or to celebrate the births of children until you have a grove that celebrates your family.
