Wedding Beauty Tips : How to Choose the Right Style Tiaras

A Wedding Tiara can be the icing on the cake that can transform an ordinary bride into a princess. You can choose to wear both a tiara and a bridal veil or either one by itself. But bridal tiaras are really hot these days, so you really can’t go wrong if you choose to wear both. If you’re planning on wearing a bridal veil and have chosen a great hairstyle to show off, then think about adding a tiara as well.

At the reception, you’ll be shedding the veil but a tiara can be comfortably worn throughout the night and you’ll still stand out as the beautiful glowing bride.
However, make sure you choose the right tiara style and tiara hairstyle or your look will be a little ‘off’…..and that’s something we can’t have!!

1. Choose your gown first
Your tiara, or any bridal jewelry should complement your gown and balance your entire look. If you choose your tiara first, it may be all wrong for your dress style and design.

2. Choose your hairstyle before you choose your tiara or choose them both at the same time
With a little help from your hairdresser you can determine which tiara hairstyle will look best on you. Then you can select a tiara that will flatter your hairstyle and one that will be most comfortable for you.

If your hairstyle is the most important choice to you, then choose the hairstyle first and select a tiara to compliment it. If your tiara style is more important to you then choose the tiara first and work your hairstyle around it.

3. Make sure you choose the right style for your face shape.
The wrong tiara will make a long face look even longer or a round face appears too wide.

Take a look at these guidelines to determine which style is best for the shape of your face:
- If your face is Round or Full: To make your face appear longer, choose a tiara with some height or one that has a peak.
- If your face is Long: Choose a wedding tiara with little or no height that extends over your head from one side to the other at an even height.
- If your face is Oval: Avoid tiaras with a peak at the top, which will make your face appear longer. Instead, choose a headband, tiara comb or hair pins.
- If your face is Full: To create the illusion of a longer face, wear a tiara that has a point at the top.

4. Match your wedding tiara design with your dress design.
If your dress has crystals, choose a tiara with crystals or a Princess tiara or rhinestone tiara.

If it has beads, choose a beaded tiara. If your dress has a floral design, so should your tiara.

You get the picture! They should go hand in hand to create a balanced ensemble.

You should also choose the right jewelry to compliment your tiara as well. A pearl tiara should match your pearl accessories. Make sure the shade of pearls in your tiara and accessories is a perfect match!

5. Choose the best tiara tone and color for your dress color.
For a white dress choose a silver rhinestone tiara or a wedding tiara that has white pearls.

For an ivory dress, a gold tone tiara with ivory pearls looks best.

For a diamond white dress, choose either a silver or gold toned tiara with white pearls.

For a champagne or dark ivory dress a gold tone tiara with dark ivory pearls looks best.
